Terms of use

Last updated: 21 October 2026 · Owner: Rafael García Martín · [email protected] · This is a translation. In case of discrepancy, the Spanish version prevails.

2. Terms of use

2.1. Free service

Publishing and viewing ads on IllusionAds is free. If paid services are offered in the future, they will be optional, will be announced in advance and will require express acceptance. IllusionAds may modify, suspend or close the Platform at any time, giving reasonable notice where possible.

2.2. Advertiser account

To publish, you must create an account with truthful information and be over 18 or act on behalf of a company with the capacity to do so. The Advertiser is responsible for keeping their credentials safe and for everything published from their account.

2.3. Advertiser's responsibility

By publishing, the Advertiser declares and warrants that:

  1. They own the content (texts, images, videos, trademarks) or are authorised to use it.
  2. The ads are truthful, not misleading and comply with the Spanish General Advertising Law, consumer protection rules and any other applicable regulations.
  3. The products and services advertised are legal and they are the ones offering them or are authorised to promote them.
  4. They comply with the Advertising content rules (section 3).

2.4. Content generated or imported with AI

IllusionAds may generate draft ads from the website or data provided by the Advertiser. The Advertiser must review each draft before publishing it and, by publishing it, takes it on as their own for all purposes.

2.5. Licence of use

The Advertiser retains ownership of their content and grants IllusionAds a free, non-exclusive, worldwide licence to host, reproduce, technically adapt (for example, formats and sizes), display it on the Platform and share it on its channels and social networks to give visibility to the Platform and to the ads themselves. The licence ends when the ad is deleted, except for backups kept for a reasonable technical period and anything already shared by third parties.

2.6. Moderation

IllusionAds may review ads, including with automated tools, and reject, remove or limit the visibility of those that breach these terms or the law, and may suspend or close accounts for serious or repeated breaches. When it does so, it will inform the Advertiser of the reason and how to appeal (section 4).

2.7. Users

Users undertake to use the Platform lawfully, not to extract content massively or by automated means without authorisation, and not to interfere with its operation. Any purchase or contracting relationship is established directly between the User and the Advertiser.

2.8. Limitation of liability

The Platform is offered free of charge and "as is". To the extent permitted by law, IllusionAds is not liable for service interruptions, data loss, the commercial results obtained by the Advertiser, or damage arising from the ads or from relationships between Advertisers and Users. Nothing above limits liability that cannot be excluded by law, in particular towards consumers or for wilful misconduct or gross negligence.

2.9. Indemnity

The Advertiser will hold IllusionAds harmless against any claim, penalty or expense (including legal fees) arising from their ads or from a breach of these terms.

2.10. Closing your account

The Advertiser may delete their ads and their account at any time from their dashboard or by writing to [email protected].

2.11. Changes

IllusionAds may update these terms. Relevant changes will be announced at least 15 days in advance by email or on the Platform.

2.12. Law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by Spanish law. For Advertisers acting as businesses, the courts of Madrid have jurisdiction; for consumers, those of their place of residence.

3. Advertising content rules

IllusionAds publishes genuine ads for legal products and services, with truthful information. Ads are not allowed if they:

  • Offer illegal products or services: drugs, weapons, counterfeits, false documents, pirated content or services that facilitate crimes.
  • Are misleading: false prices, promises of guaranteed results, "get rich quick", pyramid schemes or information that does not match the actual product.
  • Are scams or phishing, or ask for bank details or passwords.
  • Use third parties' trademarks, logos, images or names without authorisation, or impersonate another person or company.
  • Contain sexually explicit, violent, hateful or discriminatory content.
  • Target minors for products unsuitable for them.
  • Promote tobacco, gambling, alcohol, high-risk financial products or crypto-assets in the free service. These sectors may only be advertised, where applicable, through a paid service, with prior verification of the Advertiser and in compliance with each sector's specific regulations.
  • Advertise prescription medicines, promise cures or promote pseudotherapies or "miracle" products. Health services and medical devices may be advertised for free, but only after verifying the Advertiser: centres and clinics with their health registration number; professionals with their professional association number; pharmacies with their authorisation; and medical devices with the authorisation number for their advertising where required. Non-prescription medicines must comply with the requirements of their advertising regulations.
  • Include personal data of third parties without their consent.
  • Are spam, duplicate content or ads that do not offer anything real.

IllusionAds may remove any ad that breaches these rules and, in serious or repeated cases, suspend the account.

4. Notice and takedown procedure

Anyone can report an ad they consider unlawful or contrary to the rules. IllusionAds reviews every report and, where appropriate, removes the content within a target period of 48 hours.

How to report

Using the "Report ad" button on each ad or by writing to [email protected]. The report must include:

  1. The link to the ad.
  2. An explanation of why it is considered unlawful or contrary to the rules.
  3. The name and email of the person reporting (except for reports concerning child sexual abuse, which may be anonymous).
  4. A statement of good faith that the information is accurate.

What IllusionAds does

  1. Acknowledges receipt of the report.
  2. Reviews the ad and, if necessary, hides it as a precaution while a decision is made.
  3. Decides whether to remove it, keep it or limit its visibility.
  4. Communicates the decision and its reasons to the reporter and to the Advertiser, stating whether automated means were used.
  5. If the content may constitute a crime that threatens the life or safety of people, reports it to the authorities.

Appealing a decision

The Advertiser or the reporter may request a review within 6 months by writing to [email protected]. The review is carried out by a person, not an automated system. They may also turn to a certified out-of-court dispute settlement body or to the courts.
